Entries Sought for Rochester’s “Holiday Parade of Lights” 2024 Holiday Parade

Published on

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking entries for this year’s “Holiday Parade of Lights” holiday parade being held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, beginning at 4:00pm, underwritten by First Seacoast Bank. Rochester’s parade features an array of floats from businesses, organizations, and youth organizations as well as high school marching bands, marching units, mobile units and more.

Entries for floats, marching, mobile, and equestrian units are currently being sought for individuals, youth groups, schools, organizations, and businesses interested in participating in the parade.  There is no cost to enter. Those entering floats are encouraged to decorate their entry in keeping with the theme of the parade. Floats that are lined up in the assembly area by 2:00 pm will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, theme, and overall appearance with plaques awarded for Best of Parade, Second Place, and Third Place.

The parade route will begin on Wakefield Street by the triangle at the entrance to Spaulding High School. It will proceed south on Wakefield Street, turn right onto Union Street, turn left onto North Main Street, to South Main Street, and disband in front of Rochester Common.

Hundreds of individuals participate in Rochester’s Holiday Parade each year and thousands of spectators line the streets to view the parade. The parade is also video recorded and shown many times throughout the holiday season on YouTube and social media. It is also available for viewing on the Chamber website. All are welcome to join in the holiday spirit generated by this festive community event. Entries will be accepted through November 30, 2024.

For more information or to receive an entry form and instructions for Rochester’s Holiday Parade, please call the Chamber office at 603-332-5080. Entry forms and guidelines can be found online by visiting www.rochesternh.org/parade.
