The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the results of this year’s Chamber Raffle! All 350 tickets for the raffle sold out prior to the event. Underwritten by Deepa Reddy DMD, PLLC, and D.F. Richard Energy, Barbie’s Dream Raffle was held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Rochester Elks. In addition to the in-person event for ticket holders, the raffle was livestreamed on the Chamber’s Facebook page for those who wished to watch the number board from home.
A reverse raffle drawing took place throughout the evening, with the grand prize awarded to the last ticket drawn. Tickets, sponsored by Service Credit Union, were sold for $100 each. The grand prize winner had the choice of a 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Bob motorcycle or $10,000. Four runner-up prizes were also awarded. The fourth runner-up, winning $100, was Judy Salt. The third runner-up, winning $300, was Kim Cole. The second runner-up, winning $500, was Kevin Shaw. The first runner-up, receiving $1,000, was Mark Farrell.
The Grand Prize Winners of $10,000, “The HRCU Girls: Virgie, Sheila, and Mary,” with ticket #209, were present at the event.
Approximately 150 people attended in person, with many more watching online, and enjoyed a Barbie-themed evening with Master of Ceremonies Matt Beaulieu of Service Credit Union, who kept the event lively and entertaining. Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner, with dessert sponsored by Laars Heating Systems. Additional sponsors included Waste Management (Hospitality Sponsor), Holy Rosary Credit Union (Registration Sponsor), Daystar, Inc. (Technology Sponsor), and ServiceMaster Disaster Associates, Inc. (Program Sponsor).
Every ticket drawn during the reverse raffle, aside from the runner-up and grand prize tickets, was entered into “second chance” prize drawings for 33 different prize packages valued at nearly $6,000. These generous donations came from local businesses and organizations. The Second Chance Prize Raffle Sponsor was Ring Plumbing Service. As a consolation prize, the “unluckiest ticket holder”—the first ticket drawn—received a Scratch Ticket Basket containing $200 in lottery tickets, sponsored by The Farmer’s Kitchen. This prize was won by Lisa Peters.
In addition to the venue being decorated to match the Barbie’s Dream Raffle theme, many table sponsors participated in a Table Decorating Contest. The contest prize, donated by the Chamber, was awarded to Collins Sports Center. A Costume Contest for “Best Barbie” and “Best Ken” was won by Mary Kay and Matt Beaulieu, who each received $75 worth of hair products donated by Marie Garcia of WK Hair Bar.
An auction was also held, featuring three packages valued at more than $5,400:
