Published on

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Tanya Hervey will step into the role of President & CEO beginning in January 2026, following current President Laura Ring’s retirement.

Tanya has been with the Chamber for over six years, most recently serving as Director of Events & Communications. She brings a unique blend of business ownership, office management and chamber leadership experience, along with formal nonprofit management training. Tanya is a recent graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organization Management program, receiving her IOM designation following this four-year, comprehensive professional development program that educates participants on how to build stronger organizations, better serve their members and become strong business advocates.

Before joining the Chamber, Tanya successfully owned and operated a portrait photography business in Rochester for several years, further enriching her understanding of the local business landscape.

According to Chamber Chair of the Board Caitlyn Turgeon of HBL Insurance, “We are very fortunate to have witnessed Tanya’s commitment to the Chamber, her leadership abilities, and the programs she has developed over the past six years. Combined with her vision, we are very confident that Tanya will do a wonderful job leading the organization into the future. We also want to thank Laura Ring for her 36 years of dedicated leadership and the many contributions she has made to our Chamber”.

According to current Chamber President Laura Ring, “I am delighted to see the board has selected Tanya to be my successor. Tanya continuously gives her all to the organization and its members and will provide continuity for the organization.”

Tanya is excited to take on this leadership role and continue supporting and strengthening the regional business community.

Stay tuned for more updates as Tanya prepares to begin this exciting new chapter in the new year.
