Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce to Host Ribbon-Cutting for New Nancy Loud Park

Published on

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Nancy Loud Park on Cocheco Avenue in East Rochester.

Shaped by community feedback provided at two community engagement sessions in 2023 and 2024, the redesigned park will feature gravel walking paths, a new playground, a basketball court, a shaded pavilion, multi-generational fitness equipment, and ambient lighting.

“The park will continue the legacy of this special East Rochester property,” said Lauren Krans, Director of Recreation & Arena. “With input from the community, we have designed a beautiful, comfortable outdoor space where the neighborhood can gather and have fun for generations to come.”

The ribbon-cutting will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Rochester Public Library is planning a Story Walk for children and families immediately following the event. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, as on-site parking is limited.
