Published on

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is pleased to light up the season with its annual Holiday Tree Lighting.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Central Square in downtown Rochester. This event, underwritten by Xfinity, will include the ceremony and lighting of Rochester’s tree for the first time to kick off the 2025 holiday season.

A full program of family activities will also take place as part of the Holiday Tree Lighting celebration. Attendees will enjoy a reading of The Night Before Christmas, along with dance performances, caroling, and other festive activities. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be provided, along with cookie decorating and a very special visit from Santa Claus!
