JESA Lash Extension Studio opens in Downtown Rochester

The City of Rochester’s Economic Development Department is pleased to welcome JESA Lash Extension Studio to downtown. JESA offers brow, skin, waxing, and lash services in their studio located at 11 Wakefield Street.

According to JESA owner Jane Thibodeau, lash extensions have become increasingly popular recently, stating “Anyone can achieve considerable results with lash extensions because they are enhancing your existing lashes, drawing even more attention to their eyes.”

Jane followed a cosmetology track through high school, but realized she preferred skin care over hair care, and did not continue in the field. After many years in the health care field, she decided to return to her passion, got licensed as an esthetician, and chose to focus on lash extensions. Jane started in her home with a few regular clients, then rented booth space at Cabana Salon for a couple of years. Before too long, she was outgrowing the space, and in January 2023, Jane opened in a renovated space on Wakefield Street, and then moved into the space next door when it became available because it had the charm she was looking for.

“For years, anytime you wanted something you usually had to leave Rochester and that bothered me so much. If I’m going to do anything in this field, it’s going to be in Rochester,” Jane said. “I love Rochester; I have seen its potential for years and it’s finally here. I love it.”

Jane’s goal is to add a boutique retail shop in the front of her studio. She’s planning to sell clothing, home goods, and skin care products which she hopes will attract customers who may not be looking for lash extensions but may be shopping for gifts.

Assistant Director of Economic Development Jennifer Marsh said, “We are happy to welcome JESA to downtown Rochester. Their commitment to growing their business helps build community spirit and adds to the vitality of downtown.”

JESA’s lash services are available by appointment. They can be reached at (603) 609-5527 or janeelizabethlashco@gmail.com. Hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Visit www.janeelizabethlashco.com to learn more.
