Mayor Callaghan recognizes important work of City Clerk’s Office, reads proclamation

During the City Council meeting on May 2nd, Mayor Paul Callaghan read a proclamation recognizing the important work of the Municipal City Clerk.

WHEREAS, The Office of the City Clerk is is the oldest among public servants and a time honored and vital part of local municipalities throughout the nation; and

WHEREAS, City Clerks provide the professional link between the citizens, the local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels; and

WHEREAS, City Clerks pledge to be ever mindful of their neutrality and impartiality, rendering equal service to all, serving as the information center on functions of local government and community; and

WHEREAS, City Clerks continually strive to improve the administration of affairs through participation in education programs, seminars, workshops and meetings of their state, county and national organizations.

WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we recognize the accomplishments of the Office of the City Clerk for the City of Rochester, New Hampshire.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Paul Callaghan, do hereby recognize the Rochester City Clerks Office and encourage all Rochester citizens to be aware of the work they do for the municipal government.
