Metal Heads opens in Downtown Rochester

Published on

Metal Heads is now open for business at 30 North Main Street, in downtown Rochester.

The shop is described as a “totally rockin’ retail store in downtown Rochester and online” that features “heavy metal and rock items, gothic items, and cool gift ideas.”

Metal Heads offers a wide variety of products including t-shirts and other apparel for adults and children, home decor, bags and accessories, and more. Owner Lylah Starkey states that if they “don’t carry it in-store, [they] can likely order it and have it ready for you.”

“We’ve lived in Rochester for over 20 years,” said Starkey “We love downtown and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming to us. Rochester is on the rise and we want to be a part of it.”

Starkey says that Metal Heads has something for everyone, even if they’re not interested in heavy metal music. They also carry a selection of alternative products that “make great gifts and stocking stuffers for the holidays.”

“We’re excited to welcome another business to downtown Rochester,” said Matt Wyatt, Public Information & Community Engagement Manager for the City of Rochester. “Our downtown has a variety of unique shops that you can’t find anywhere else. Skeletone Records, Jetpack Comics, Collectiques, to name a few. Metal Heads fits in perfectly.”

Metal Heads is open Thursday-Saturday and Sundays. Check their website for specific hours of operation. Visit www.metalheadsrock.com or call (603) 973-0465 to learn more.
