NH Consumer Insight: Be Aware When Purchasing a Used Motor Vehicle

Published on

Attorney General John M. Formella announces the release of the October edition of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau’s NH Consumer Insight newsletter.

This month the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is alerting residents about what to know when purchasing a used motor vehicle in New Hampshire in order to avoid any buyer’s regret.

Notably, a person buying a used car does not have all the protections and assurances that they would receive if they were purchasing a new vehicle. This month’s NH Consumer Insight outlines some of the primary concerns that consumers should be aware of when shopping for a used motor vehicle in New Hampshire.

The newsletter is attached and can also be found by visiting: https://www.doj.nh.gov/citizens/consumer-protection-antitrust-bureau/nh-consumer-insight-newsletter.

Each installment of NH Consumer Insight highlights a relevant consumer protection issue and provide basic information that consumers can use to identify risks and protect themselves in the marketplace. If you are interested in subscribing to NH Consumer Insight, please send an email to Michael.S.Garrity@doj.nh.gov.
