NH Pet Aid receives grant for 11k to help pet owners with emergency veterinary care

Published on

New Hampshire Pet Aid is thrilled to announce that it recently received a grant of $11,065.69 from The Fabulous Find, a quality re-sale boutique in Kittery, Maine.

Each month, The Fabulous Find selects three Seacoast nonprofits to split net profits from its sales. NH Pet Aid was fortunate to be selected for the month of February, along with On Belay and Betty Borry Breast Cancer Retreat.

Founded in 2021, New Hampshire Pet Aid’s mission is to help keep beloved cats and dogs from being surrendered, euthanized, or suffering when their financially disadvantaged owners are unable to afford emergency veterinary care. The organization awards grants of up to $500 to qualified pet owners living in Rockingham and Strafford counties. Last year alone, NH Pet Aid helped more than 120 pet owners.

“When we learned that we were selected as a recipient we were absolutely elated,” said Patty Cohen, Board President.  “We are eight volunteer board members with no staff or office so every penny from this generous grant will go toward helping people in need when their cat or dog is experiencing an emergency. As one of our board members exclaimed, “This grant will help at least 22 pets in our community!”

The impact of this grant can’t be overstated. “Lives will be saved,” stated Patty, “We are truly grateful to Fabulous Find and the entire community for this gift.”
