Oh, the Things You Can Do: A Fiber Art Exhibit at The Franklin Gallery

The Franklin Gallery at RiverStones Custom Framing, located at 33 North Main Street in Rochester, will host Oh, the Things You Can Do, an exhibit featuring fiber art by local artist Peg Doyle. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of May and is open to the public during regular business hours.

Peg Doyle is a quilter and fiber artist who works out of her studios in Acton, Maine, and Hingham, Massachusetts. She has been creating fiber art for 20 years and continues to hone her craft through ongoing study and practice. Peg brings her collection to the Franklin Gallery with the hope of inspiring others to explore fiber art. The exhibit includes a variety of works such as weaving, fabric collage, pictorial and landscape pieces, wall art quilts, and fabric painting.

“Fiber is at the heart of my work,” says Peg. “Most of my pieces are made with commercial or hand-dyed cotton fabric, and many are embellished with additional materials. I enjoy experimenting with color, design, and texture.” With each creation, Peg explores a new approach or technique, making every piece truly one of a kind. She can be reached via email at Peg@PegDoyle.com.

The Franklin Gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about this exhibit, call (603) 812-1488 or email riverstonescustomframing@gmail.com.
