The Department of Public Works is announcing that the Pickering Road Bridge is scheduled to be closed beginning Monday, June 22, 2026, and is anticipated to remain closed through Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to accommodate bridge-related work.

A full closure of the bridge will be required during construction. Associated detour signage will remain covered until the closure begins. During the closure, through traffic will be detoured to Old Dover Road via Tebbetts Road and the Columbus Avenue/Gonic Road/Route 125 corridor.
