Rochester Main Street is pleased to announce that after a brief hiatus, Porter’s has reopened under new ownership. The popular sports bar restaurant, located at 19 Hanson Street, in downtown Rochester, NH, officially resumed operations on March 29, 2023.

New owner Steve Gosselin also operates Clemento’s Pizzeria & Brew at 160 Washington Street. Gosselin says his team is excited to be a part of the ever-evolving downtown community.

“We cannot thank everyone enough for the overwhelming support we have received so far,” said Steve Gosselin, owner. “We are so excited to start this new journey in downtown Rochester.”

Porter’s, formerly Porter’s Pub, is known for providing quality food and friendly service. Customers can order from a wide variety of menu options while enjoying a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant will operate from Tuesday to Saturday, with varying hours of operation.

“We look forward to welcoming the regulars back, as well as introducing ourselves to new customers,” added Gosselin. “We want everyone to have a great time and enjoy everything we have to offer.”

According to Rochester Economic Development Director Michael Scala, independent businesses like Porter’s are the backbone of a vibrant and thriving downtown.

“A restaurant opening or re-opening is not just a win for the business, but for the entire area,” said Scala. “The new Porter’s is a destination and will bring in more foot traffic and visitors to the surrounding shops and businesses, creating a domino effect of increased economic activity.
