The Department of Public Works is advising motorists that the flashing red and yellow beacon at the intersection of Tebbetts Road and Old Dover Road has been permanently removed in preparation for an upcoming intersection improvement project.

This project will construct a mini-roundabout at the intersection to improve traffic safety. The removal of the flashing beacon is required to accommodate electrical relocations in preparation for the project. Once construction of the roundabout has been completed, the flashing beacon will no longer be required.

The existing 2-way stop on Tebbetts Rd will remain in effect until roundabout construction begins. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling in this area and to be aware of these traffic control changes.

Construction on the intersection improvement project is scheduled to start this fall with the roundabout set to be completed by spring of 2027.
