The Department of Public Works announces a water main replacement project on Schley Street on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The project is expected to continue through Friday, August 7, 2026, and will require temporary road closures and traffic impacts in the area.
As part of the project:
- Russell Street will be closed to through traffic for most of the day on Tuesday, July 28.
- Schley Street will have a partial road closure between Russell Street and Letourneau Street from July 28 through August 7, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Emergency vehicles will be able to access the work zone as needed.
Water service will remain uninterrupted during the initial phase of construction. During the second week of the project, individual water service interruptions will be necessary as customer services are transferred to the new water main. Residents affected by temporary water shutoffs will receive advance notice before any interruption occurs.
