REMINDER: City Council meeting to start at 6:30 PM on 8/5, delayed for National Night Out

On Tuesday, July 1, Mayor Paul Callaghan announced that the City Council will delay the start of its August 5th meeting from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm to encourage elected officials to attend National Night Out.

Rochester’s National Night Out will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Spaulding High School Torr’s Park, also known as “the triangle”.

Part of a nationwide celebration held throughout the United States, Rochester’s National Night Out aims to strengthen police-community relationships and promote crime prevention.

This year’s event will feature over 20 local organizations and businesses, as well as local food vendors and live music. Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including a petting zoo, pony rides, and a “touch a safety vehicle” experience for young children.

Following the main event, a free family-friendly movie will be hosted by Guyer Travel International from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
