Published on

After a brief hiatus due to public safety concerns, one of the seacoast’s leading community stages will reopen with several new shows, including The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue, comedian Juston McKinney, and Security Project: Re-envision the music of Peter Gabriel.

Several tribute concerts are planned to honor Linda Ronstadt, Prince, The Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, and Johnny Cash. There will also be an “all-metal tribute” to the Bee Gees.

In addition to the tributes, the Opera House will co-present several community theatre projects with local dance studios and student theatre groups. Titles include Cinderella, Treasure Island, and Robin Hood.

The theater is also advertising its annual Lottery Cocktail Party on April 22. The fundraiser supports general operations and quality entertainment, such as The Duppy Conquerors, New England’s premier tribute to Bob Marley, and Stone Temple Posers & Yellow LedVedder.

The Box Office continues to encourage guests to follow COVID-19 safety protocols. According to the website, masks are required regardless of age or vaccination status when entering and moving through theater. However, masks may be removed when seated, or actively eating or drinking.

To purchase tickets, contact the Box Office at (603) 335-1992 or buy online at www.RochesterOperaHouse.com. The Rochester Opera House is located about City Hall at 31 Wakefield Street, Rochester NH 03867.
