With temperatures rising, the Rochester Police Department would like to remind residents never to leave pets unattended in vehicles, even for a few minutes. On warm days, temperatures inside a car can rise rapidly and become deadly for animals. Please plan ahead, keep pets at home when possible, and help keep our four-legged family members safe this summer. If you see an animal in distress inside a vehicle, contact 911 immediately.
