Rochester Public Library Introduces New Technology Programs to the Children’s Room Starting in July

The Children’s Room, at the Rochester Public Library, is excited to announce the launch of new technology programs to engage young minds. Beginning this July, children will have the opportunity to explore the world of technology through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.

One of the programs is all about the 3D Pen, where kids can craft their own small summer-themed creations using a 3Doodler pen. The device utilizes eco-friendly plastic and low heat, ensuring a safe and eco-conscious experience for participants.

In addition, the Children’s Room will be hosting a robotics program, to provide a platform for kids to work together, play, and learn beginner coding skills. Children will have the opportunity to engage in both screen-free coding exercises as well as coding using an app.

Emerging Technologies Specialist Jessica Carroll expressed her enthusiasm for these new programs, stating, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer new technology programs for our youngest patrons!” These initiatives aim to inspire a passion for technology and promote problem-solving skills, teamwork, and creative thinking.
