Strafford Regional Planning Commission Seeks Public Input for Comprehensive Plan Update

Published on

The Strafford Regional Planning Commission is updating the region’s Comprehensive Plan. Titled Forward Thinking: A Comprehensive Plan for the Strafford Region, the project will be guided by public input and research to shape the region’s future vision.

The commission seeks input from a wide range of voices and perspectives throughout this process, including residents, business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders. Public feedback will help create a plan that reflects the needs and aspirations surrounding Land Use & Environment, Housing, Transportation, and Economic Development. Responses from this survey will be analyzed alongside other engagement efforts to identify regional priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

Completed surveys may be returned to staff at the facility where they were found or mailed to the commission’s Rochester office. The survey is available online at surveymonkey.com/r/srpcforward.

The survey is confidential, and respondents are not required to answer all questions. Participants are encouraged to share only the information they feel comfortable providing.

Regular updates, additional engagement opportunities, and event details related to the Comprehensive Plan update will be shared on the project website at strafford.org/projects/forward-thinking.

The Strafford Planning Region includes all communities in Strafford County, as well as Brookfield and Wakefield in Carroll County and Northwood, Nottingham, and Newmarket in Rockingham County. Anyone connected to this region—whether as a resident, worker, visitor, or prospective mover—is encouraged to participate in the survey.
