The Rochester Trustees of the Trust Fund have awarded $5,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank to support hunger-relief efforts in Rochester.
The funds will allow the NH Food Bank to purchase approximately 5,208 pounds of food, equivalent to approximately 4,340 meals, for distribution to 14 hunger-relief agencies serving Rochester residents.
The food is expected to support approximately 3,000 children, women, and men in Rochester within one year of receiving the funds. The grant will help local hunger-relief agencies provide increased access to nutritious food for residents experiencing food insecurity.
