Winter Festival to be held on 1/20 at the Rochester Common, fun for the whole family

Published on

The Rochester Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Rochester Police Department, is pleased to announce Winter Festival 2024, a family-friendly event to be held at the Rochester Common on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

This is a free event that boasts fun for the whole family. There will be s’mores, hot cocoa, touch-a-truck, and a family activity presented by the YMCA. The event wraps up with a movie presented by Guyer Travel, which will start at approximately 4:00 pm. Weather permitting, the outdoor ice rink will be open.

“It can be hard to get outside in the winter months, so the Winter Festival provides a great opportunity for our community to come together and have fun, even in the cold,” said Nicole Lee, Marketing Program Coordinator, Rochester Recreation Department.

This event is made possible with support and volunteers from Commons Church and Rochester Main Street. The Commons Church will be collecting donations for the Raider Station Student Pantry at Spaulding High School.

Donation is not required for entry, but if you would like to contribute, the most helpful donations are non-perishable, pre-packaged snacks.
