City Council Appoints New School Board Members for Wards 4 and 5, Effective Immediately

On August 19, 2025, City Council held candidate interviews for the vacant Ward 4/Seat B and Ward 5/Seat A School Board positions.

Candidates included Lisa Carlberg, James Connor, Anne Grassie, and Jerry Gregoire for Ward 4, and Joelle Boumel, Tabitha Davis, Howard Hutchings, Matt Mayberry, and Samuel Oliver for Ward 5. All candidates summarized their interest and experience and answered a series of questions from City Council.

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, during the City Council meeting, Anne Grassie was appointed to fill the Ward 4/Seat B position. Samuel Oliver was appointed to fill the Ward 5/Seat A position.

Immediately following the decision, City Attorney Terence O’Rourke conducted the oath of office for both members.
