In accordance with federal regulations governing the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, public input will be solicited for 30 days, beginning on May 29th, 2026, to comment on the proposed CDBG FY 2027 Annual Action Plan. The CDBG Annual Action Plan identifies how the City plans to use the federal money during the next fiscal year to meet the goals and objectives that are outlined in the FY 2025-2030 Consolidated Plan.

Draft FY 2027 Annual Action Plan Summary: Based on a grant amount of $234,025 for FY 2026, and in Prior Year funds of $4854.01. The following activities are proposed for use of CDBG funds for July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026: Administration and Planning- $46,805 (20% cap); Public Services- $35,103 (15% cap); Projects including Housing, Economic Development and Facilities/Infrastructure- $156,971.01 ($152,117, plus $4854.01 in prior year CDBG funds). It is estimated that 100% of funding will serve low to moderate income residents. The City will also be converting $200,000 from the Job Opportunity Benefit (JOB) Loan Program to utilize for a public facilities project within one of the city’s census tract locations.

The draft FY 2027 Annual Action Plan will be available for a 30-day public review and comment period beginning May 29th, 2026 and will close on June 30th, 2026 at 5:00pm, after which time all comments will be forwarded to the U.S. Department of HUD.
