The City’s Community Development Division will begin accepting applications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2028 (July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028) General City Funds and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program starting Wednesday, October 7, 2026. The application deadline is 4 PM on Friday, November 20, 2026.

Applications for both the CDBG Program and General City Funds can be found on the city’s website under “2028 FY CDBG and Municipal Funding Application” at https://www.rochesternh.gov/community-development-division.

There will be two pre-application workshops for the CDBG grant application that are not mandatory but strongly recommended, especially for first-time applicants. The first workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 21st from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The second workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 4th from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. Both workshops will be held in the second-floor conference room at the Rochester City Hall Annex (33 Wakefield Street).

If you are applying for CDBG funding under the Public Facilities/Infrastructure or Housing Rehabilitation category, please review the information concerning construction and/or public facilities project requirements. Any requirements listed under this section that apply to your project must be met in order to receive CDBG funding.
