Easterseals NH’s Adult Day Program Drums Up Excitement in Rochester

Published on

Participants in Easterseals NH’s Adult Day Program in Rochester, NH, recently enjoyed a unique opportunity to explore traditional African-style drumming with Randy Armstrong, a renowned performer specializing in traditional instruments from around the world.

Armstrong is leading a six-week class, running from November 12 through December 17, to share the mental and physical wellness benefits of drumming. These benefits include improved motion, memory, and articulation. Seniors in the program are enthusiastically learning new musical techniques, moving to the rhythm, and singing the songs they’ve learned—often continuing to hum long after the class ends.
