Civics 101 is a one-time course designed to empower Rochester residents and business owners with the knowledge and skills needed for active citizenship.
Hosted by the Office for Public Information and Community Engagement, this interactive presentation and discussion provides tools for understanding how local government works and how individual actions can drive change.
The course outlines several topics, including ‘How Rochester’s Municipal Government Works’, ‘How to Find Information’, ‘How to Vote (and why it’s so important)’, ‘How to Make Your Voice Heard’, and ‘How to Get More Involved’.
There is no cost for participation. Registration is required for the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, February 10, 2026 (9:00 am – 10:30 am)
- Tuesday, June 9, 2026 (6:00 pm – 7:30 pm)
- Tuesday, October 6, 2026 (2:00 pm – 3:30 pm)
