New Hampshire schools are top five in the nation according to new rankings from WalletHub released today. Governor Kelly Ayotte released the following statement highlighting the new ranking:

“New Hampshire is proud to have some of the best schools in the country, and this new ranking is a testament to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and hardworking students who helped make it possible. We’ll continue working each day to make our state an even better place to learn — from supporting our excellent public schools, to getting cell phones out of the classroom, to expanding education opportunities for families, and more. I know New Hampshire will keep striving for #1 and prioritizing a best-in-class education for our kids.”

Since taking office, Governor Ayotte has made it a top priority to keep New Hampshire schools among the best in the country:

  • Supporting public schools with more money per student than ever before
  • Expanding opportunities for parents to choose the best setting for their child’s learning needs
  • Signing the Parental Bill of Rights into law
  • Directing the Department of Education to develop best practices to improve reading outcomes
  • Investing over $8 million in school safety measures and ensuring up-to-date training for first responders
