On Monday, October 19, 2026, Mayor Chuck Grassie and Deputy Mayor David Walker reached a mutual agreement with City Manager Katie Ambrose to end her tenure before the conclusion of her 90-day notice period, originally scheduled for November 28.

Ambrose submitted her resignation in September, announcing that she would take on a new role as Chief Financial Officer with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. The City of Rochester thanks Ambrose for her service and wishes her well in her new role.

Finance Director Mark Sullivan will serve as Interim City Manager, effective immediately.
