Lilac Club Casino Contributes Over $116,000 to Local Rochester Charities At First Check Presentation

Lilac Club Casino, the region’s premier charitable gaming destination, is proud to announce its inaugural charitable contributions, totaling more than $116,000, to two esteemed local organizations: Rochester Main Street and the Rochester Rotary Club. Each organization received a check for over $58,000 during a special ceremony held yesterday at the Parson Main Monument in Central Square.

These donations mark the beginning of Lilac Club Casino’s ongoing commitment to supporting local nonprofits. This effort is further strengthened by the formation of a charitable committee, established to ensure consistency, strategic decision-making, and increased community awareness.

“It’s a privilege to begin our charitable giving efforts with donations to Rochester Main Street and the Rochester Rotary Club—two organizations that work tirelessly to strengthen the fabric of this community,” said Eric Barbaro, Chief Operating Officer of Granite State Gaming & Hospitality. “Charitable giving is at the core of our mission, and this inaugural presentation is just the beginning. We’re committed to being a true community partner and look forward to supporting many more nonprofits across the region in the months and years ahead.”

Rochester Main Street is a community-driven organization focused on revitalizing downtown Rochester through economic development, historic preservation, and public engagement.

“This generous donation from Lilac Club Casino is an incredible boost for our ongoing efforts to revitalize and promote downtown Rochester,” said Jeff Bisson, Executive Director of Rochester Main Street. “It will allow us to invest in community events, beautification projects, and business development initiatives that keep our downtown vibrant and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.”

The Rochester Rotary Club brings together local leaders in service to support youth programs, scholarships, and community projects. Charitable contributions like these directly empower both organizations to expand their reach and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.

“We’re deeply grateful to Lilac Club Casino for this meaningful contribution to our mission,” said Chris Harrelson, President of the Rochester Rotary Club. “These funds will directly support our scholarship program, youth education and leadership initiatives, and local service projects. It’s a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when businesses and service organizations work together to strengthen our community. We have a special project in mind for these funds, and I encourage Rochester residents to look for the next city council meeting agenda for more information!”
