MACABARET returns to the Castle on Charles, Oct 20-22

Published on

The Castle on Charles will resurrect ‘MACABARET’ as a dinner show for one weekend only, starting October 20th.

According to the website, MACABARET is an “incredible, stylized, and spooky” piece of musical theatre that features live, original music.

“Step into The Castle just before Halloween for a 3-course dinner and a spectacular evening of entertainment! MACABARET is spooky vaudeville with original music and songs, performed as a dinner show… Just imagine what would happen if the Addams Family and the Munsters decided to do a musical revue!”

Written by Scott Keys and Robb Hartmann, MACABARET is a collection of grim and ghoulishly funny songs about madness, murder, and death. The show provides an outrageous look at the morbid and macabre. Hosts include Phil Graves, Victoria Bledsoe, Donna Shroud, and Paul Bearer.

Doors open at 6:30pm. There will be appetizers and a cash bar available. Dinner is served at 7:30pm, with dessert at the show’s intermission. Attendees can choose their “Castle Stew” with an option of beef, chicken, or lentil vegetarian, all served over mashed potato.  Dessert is a warm apple crisp with fresh whipped cream.

Non-refundable tickets cost $39 on Thursday, $44 on Friday, and $49 on Saturday. Tickets are available online and in person at The Governor’s Inn. Parking is available on the street, in the Congress Street Municipal Lot, and at the Rochester Public Library. Visit www.castlenh.com to learn more.
