Monarch School of New England Welcomes New Board of Directors for 50th Anniversary Year

The Monarch School of New England is pleased to announce its Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 school year. The Board of Directors provides governance, oversight, and leadership, as the school fulfills its mission to support students with disabilities to reach their greatest potential.

Jeanette Souther, Executive Director, expressed her gratitude for the Board members’ service. “Since I started in this position a year and a half ago, I have been impressed by the engagement shown by the Board. In addition to their participation at meetings, members regularly help out with school and community events. Their commitment to our school’s work is evident.”

Board members for the current school year include: Julia Christenbury, Nurse Manager at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital; Phillip Curtis, Financial Advisor at Northeast Planning Associates; Steven Gore, President and Chief Executive Officer at Alinabel, Inc.; Paul Lynch, Sales Manager at Hubbell; Kate Marcotte, Assistant Treasurer at Profile Bank; Marlene McManus, Attorney at Fragomen Del Rey Bernsen & Loewy LLP; Chris Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer at Lighthouse Credit Union; Jean Parsons, retired Special Education Administrator; and Jolene Whitehead, Branch and Business Development Manager at Meredith Village Savings Bank.

Board President, Jean Parsons, shared, “I am incredibly proud to serve on this Board for the Monarch School of New England. Our Board comprises talented, knowledgeable, and experienced leaders who are wholeheartedly dedicated to the school’s mission.” During 2024, the school is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Parsons commented, “This milestone allows our school to reflect on its past, and look forward to the possibilities ahead for the next 50 years.
