Public Invited to Cocheco River Management Plan Kick-off Workshop in Rochester

Published on

The Cocheco River Management Plan Steering Committee invites the public to participate in a kick-off workshop on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Strafford Regional Planning Commission Office.

To help develop the Cocheco River Management Plan, the workshop provides an opportunity for community members to contribute their ideas, experiences, and insights about the river corridor. Public feedback gathered during this event will determine the focus of the plan.

The Steering Committee was formed to assist the Cocheco River Local Advisory Committee and the Strafford Regional Planning Commission in developing a management plan for the Cocheco River Corridor. The river, which flows through several New Hampshire communities, plays a vital role in the region’s ecosystem and economy.

The Strafford Regional Planning Commission Office is located inside the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, 150 Wakefield Street. The entrance faces Spaulding High School. For more information, contact Owen Corcoran at ocorcoran@strafford.org.
