Recreation Department boasts several programs at Senior Activity Center

The Senior Activity Center is offering a number of programs to Rochester seniors, including bingo, arts, yoga, tech support, dancing and more. Upcoming Programs

Quilting, Crafting, Knitting, and Crochet – Mondays from 9am-12pm
Come learn how to quilt or bring in a sewing project you are already working on! Free, drop-in program. No membership required.

Veterans’ Time with Jerry Vermette – Tuesdays from 9am-12pm
Veteran’s Drop-In time. Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, books, puzzle, TV or just chat with Jerry about Veteran history or Veteran’s Affairs opportunities. Free, drop-in, no membership required. Contact Information: Rec.Rochester@RochesterNH.gov

Bingo – Tuesdays at 1pm
Join us for Bingo! The program is drop-in, no registration fee or membership is required. Games are $.50 per card. For those 55 and older.

Chair Yoga – Wednesday from 9:30-10:30
This practice is fantastic for Seniors, anyone recovering from surgery, and any type of joint issues or replacements. Anyone can do it! Free, drop-in, no membership required.

Painting & Beading – Wednesdays from 12pm-2pm
Painting supplies will be provided. If you have other crafts that you are interested in, please come and let us know. We have a large closet of art supplies available. This is a free, drop-in program. No membership or registration is required.

Senior Tech Support – Thursdays from 9:30am-11:30am
Do you have questions about the capabilities of your cellphone, tablet, or computer? Is there a setting you would like to change but don’t know how? Do you have a technological issue you need help resolving? Rec volunteer Chris Rouff will be available to assist you with your technology questions! The program is free, and no registration is required. Please bring your device with you.

Line Dancing – Thursdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm
The program is free, but registration is required. No membership is required. Current session runs 1/5-2/23. Spots still available.

Program free and drop-in. No registration or membership required.

Game Day – Friday, Jan 6th at 2pm 
Game day features board games, card games, and more! Bring a friend or make some new ones! Program is free, no registration or membership required.

Senior Breakfast – Friday, Jan 20th 8:30am-9:30am
Free, drop-in, no membership required

CVNA Presents: Nutrition for Seniors – Thursday, Jan 26th at 10:30am
Learn how to improve your diet with Sandy Powers, RN, Wellness Nurse from Cornerstone VNA. She will guide you to improve your nutritional goals, and ways to nourish your spiritual and emotional health. A healthy snack will be served.

CVNA Foot Clinic – Thursday, Jan 12th at 11am
Cost is $35. Please bring your own towel and lotion.
