Revolution Pivots to Wood Fired Pizza Amid COVID-19

Published on

Revolution Taproom & Grill is pleased to share that it will be overhauling its menu, heavily featuring wood-fired pizza available for takeout as the winter sets in amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The restaurant’s Roadside Revolution curbside pickup service remains available for customers seeking one of Revolution’s inspired pizzas, which are cooked in its new wood-burning pizza oven. Revolution also remains open for diners who choose to eat inside the restaurant but is adapting to ensure it can continue serving customers in the way they’re most comfortable.

New on the menu is an inspired selection of wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas by Executive Chef Walter Leffler. Revolution’s new wood-burning pizza oven quick cooks the pizza at 800-900 degrees’ for 90 seconds giving each handmade pie a perfectly crisp crust and savory, bubbling finish.

Customers can choose from nine pizza varieties all named after American revolutionaries from The Adams featuring crushed tomato, cheese, sweet sausage, baby spinach, onion, and Sicilian lemon oil to The Daniel Webster a white pizza with a pesto base and shrimp scampi, mozzarella, shaved garlic, and blistered tomatoes.

While its traditional menu will be pared down for the winter, with an emphasis on pizza, Revolution is also offering a selection of small plates that also come from the wood-fired oven, including hardwood roasted chicken wings and a wood-fired pretzel served with amber bach mustard dip and wood-fired s’mores for dessert.

In keeping with the heart of Revolution, craft beer, Executive Chef Leffler adds a bit of Stoneface Brewing Company’s IPA into his Neapolitan style crust, giving the crust a subtle hop-forward flavor.

Revolution’s new hours for the winter are:

  • Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 10 p.m.
  • Fridays & Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Closed Mondays and Tuesdays (for now)

Orders can be placed online or over the phone by calling 603-244-3022.
