The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to announce “Postcards from Somewhere”, an exhibition featuring a series of works by Forrest Elliott, in the Carnegie Gallery, at the Rochester Public Library.

Forrest Elliott is a painter exploring color relationships and how they are translated through the experience of seeing onto a two-dimensional surface. He works within the landscapes of coastal Southern Maine and the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.

He received his B.F.A. from the University of New Hampshire with a minor in History. His work has been featured in Clover + Bee, Design*Sponge, and Studio Visit. He is represented by Patricia Ladd Carega Gallery in Sandwich, New Hampshire. He is currently a full-time artist based between York, Maine, and Newland, North Carolina with his husband, Dana.

The exhibition will be on view from March 4, 2023, until May 5, 2023. A reception is planned for Saturday, March 25 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The public is encouraged to attend. The Rochester Public Library is located at 65 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. Visit www.rochestermfa.org/carnegie to learn more.

The museum is sponsored by the City of Rochester, Rochester Main Street, Waterstone Properties Group, Bernier Insurance, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Creative Guts Podcast, and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
