The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts will feature a selection of works by Steven Cabral (in the Bernier Room) and Ryan Adams (digitally) for the month of September. A public reception is planned for Thursday, September 8th from 6-8pm.
Steven Cabral is a Boston-based painter and has shown his work in several group exhibitions in the greater Boston area. He is a member of the Vernon Street artists’ community in Somerville, as well as an Associate member at Kingston Gallery.
“Combining the freehand production of geometric shapes of squares, circles, triangles, and lines with undefinable biomorphic shapes have led me to a more focused desire to construct an aesthetic that creates challenging and unconventional viewing experiences for the viewers,” says Cabral of his process.
Cabral holds a BFA in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and currently working on his MFA in painting at Lesley University of Art and Design. He currently lives and works in Somerville.
The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts and Bernier Room is located in the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center, 150 Wakefield Street, Rochester, NH, behind Spaulding High School.
The museum is sponsored by the City of Rochester, Rochester Main Street, MacEdge, Bernier Insurance, Lenharth Systems, and Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. Visit www.rochestermfa.org to learn more.
