A mesaage from the Rochester Hisotrical Society and Museum:
AMERICA’S 250TH ANNIVERSARY
Dear Friend of the Rochester Historical Society:
We are especially honored to announce that on June 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., we will welcome Master Gunnery Sergeant Kurt Dupuis (Retired) to our organization to help us celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation.
Mr. Dupuis served in The President’s Own, the special division of the United States Marine Band assigned to the White House. For much of his career, Kurt was principal trumpet. He will share some of his remarkable experiences from his 30-year career in the United States Marine Band. His time in The President’s Own Marine Band involved serving under six United States Presidents.
Because we have concerns about space limitations, members of the public are required to register in advance. To do so, simply email me at rochesterhist@gmail.com as soon as possible.
As the presentation date approaches, if it appears that no space remains available, a notice will be sent to The Rochester Post and posted on Facebook. Our membership has already been notified of this event and has been registering in advance. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do not delay if you wish to attend. We will do our best to inform you ahead of time if space availability becomes a problem. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Rochester Historical Society Board of Directors
Ralph Montgomery, President
