East Rochester is a neighborhood within the city of Rochester. Affectionately known as the East Side by many of its residents, it is located on the banks of the Salmon Falls River, which divides New Hampshire from Maine, about three miles east of downtown Rochester.
Many from the East Side have asked for an episode devoted to old photographs of East Rochester, and we did just that. Sit back, get comfortable, and join us as we travel back in time.
The Rochester Historical Society and Museum is located on Hanson Street. Visit www.rochesternh.gov/history for hours of operation, events, contact information, and to learn more about programming.
