A message from the Rochester Opera House:
The Murder Mystery Has Been Extended Once Again at the Rochester Opera House!
Due to popular demand, Rochester’s annual Murder Mystery has been extended for a second time for one more weekend through March 21, making our run of The Murder Mystery here at the Opera House a total of eight weeks!
With previous themes such as dancing competitions, shows, circuses, campgrounds, and puppets, we now bring you The Mystery of the Murder at the ‘Musement Park, or The Mystery of the Murder at Walt Chester World – A Musical Comedy Murder Mystery. It’s opening night at Strafford County’s newest and largest family amusement park. And no, this is not Story Land — we’re talking about Walt Chester World!
Tensions rise as city officials and design professionals fight for control of the park. Then (of course), someone dies, and you are left to solve Rochester’s latest mystery! Join us for this irreverent, disrespectful, politically incorrect, and insulting piece of original theatre — but please do not join us if you are easily offended.
Did you happen to miss our Theatre for Young Audiences production of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical here at the Rochester Opera House? Our Youth MainStage production is bringing Camp Half-Blood back to the stage starting March 14!
This musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenage boy who discovers he is the half-blood son of the Greek god Poseidon. After the powerful master lightning bolt of Zeus is stolen, Percy becomes the prime suspect and must set out on a dangerous quest to clear his name. Joined by his friends Annabeth and Grover, he journeys across the United States battling monsters and uncovering secrets about the gods. Along the way, Percy learns what it means to be a hero and to embrace the powers and responsibilities of being a demigod.
