Rochester Rotary Club #6327 is pleased to announce that Steve Dore has been selected as the club’s 2026 Rotarian of the Year.

The Rotarian of the Year award honors a Rotary member who exemplifies “Service Above Self” through outstanding contributions to the club, community, and Rotary International initiatives. The award recognizes a member who has gone above and beyond in supporting club goals, projects, events, and the club’s mission.

Dore, a Rotarian since the 1980s, serves as head of the Media and Communications Committee, Charter Radio Day chairperson, and is a past president of the club.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, the club recognized Dore for his significant contributions to its mission, his community service, and leadership on the Board of Directors. He was also recognized for helping ensure the club’s budget was balanced by raising funds through Charter Day/Radio Day on May 12 and for helping secure funding to support local and international causes during the year.

Additional contributions cited by the club included inviting new members, volunteering whenever needed, filling gaps within the organization, and bringing new service opportunities to Club #6327, including cemetery cleanups and bell ringing for the Salvation Army.
