“Seasons” Art Exhibit Brings Memory, Nostalgia, and Transformation to the Rochester Public Library

Published on

The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to announce Seasons, an art exhibition featuring works by Madison Albanese in the Carnegie Gallery at the Rochester Public Library, beginning December 8, 2025.

Madison Albanese is a mixed media artist from Rhode Island. She holds a BFA from the University of New Hampshire, where she was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships and was selected as a competitive Fellowship Student at the Museum of Art. She recently exhibited at the New Hampshire Art Association’s juried exhibition Paper Trails: Juried Works on Paper, where she was awarded third place. She currently works in Rhode Island as a graphic designer.

Madison Albanese invites viewers into an intimate and immersive meditation on memory, impermanence, and emotional transformation. Seasons, a body of work shaped by a lifelong fascination with image making, draws from a personal archive of film and video that began with childhood experiments using a Strawberry Shortcake 35mm camera. Through layered visuals and a tactile sensibility, Albanese pieces together fragments of lived experience, evoking a powerful sense of nostalgia and emotional resonance. Seasons brings together photography, video, and large-scale mixed media compositions that reflect the ephemeral nature of human connection.

Seasons will be on display through March 6, 2026, with a reception planned for January 3, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend. The Carnegie Gallery is located at the Rochester Public Library, 65 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867. Visit www.rochestermfa.org to learn more.

The museum gratefully acknowledges the generous support of its corporate sponsors, community partners, and collaborators, including the City of Rochester, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Back Hill Beer Co., Creative Guts Podcast, and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
