A message from the Rochester Department of Public Works:

New Hampshire Northcoast Corporation (Northcoast) will be replacing the railroad crossing located at approximately 198 Wakefield Street.

During the majority of Northcoast’s work, traffic will be directed across the railroad in an alternating fashion.

Intermittent traffic detours will be used to complete the final installation. During these detours, traffic will be directed around the work zone via Chestnut Hill Road and the Spaulding Turnpike Connector (NH Route 202). Detour signs will be posted to guide motorists.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes, anticipate delays, follow all posted instructions, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
