Trustees of the Trust Fund Award Distributions to Support Food and Heating Assistance

The Trustees of the Trust Fund are pleased to announce recent distributions to assist Rochester residents with food and heating needs during the winter season.

Due to the uncertainty many families are experiencing, the Trustees held a special meeting to approve additional funding for local assistance programs. The Trustees unanimously approved a $6,000 distribution from the William Evans Trust Fund to support the SHARE Fund in addressing food insecurity among Rochester residents.

Additionally, a $1,900 distribution from the Mary A. McDuffee Whitehouse Trust Fund was awarded to the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) to provide heating assistance to local families in need.

These distributions were made possible through the generosity of individuals who established trust funds to benefit the Rochester community. They reflect the Trustees’ ongoing commitment to supporting residents and addressing critical needs during the colder months.

The Trustees of the Trust Fund manage the City’s perpetual care funds, charitable trusts, and capital reserve/expendable trust funds. They oversee fund expenditures in accordance with donor wishes, distribute funds to government officials as needed, and manage investments based on an adopted policy. The Trustees also submit annual reports to the Department of Revenue Administration and the Charitable Trusts Unit.
