Forged Self Defense opens in Gonic

Forged Self Defense recently opened on RT 125, in Gonic, NH. Forged is a multi-faceted studio offering a wide variety of programming for people of all ages. 

“At Forged Self Defense and Fitness Academy, our goal is to teach realistic self-defense in a fun, safe, and clean environment through our dynamic programs,” said Matthew Spink, owner and head instructor.

Matthew Spink has been teaching the martial arts for twenty years in addition to studying martial arts for more than thirty years. He studied Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 

He also holds a fifth-degree Karate black belt under the World Martial Arts Federation and a Krav Maga black belt.

“Our mission is to build up our students into confident and capable individuals,” said Spink. “Through the practice of martial arts, we aim to positively influence and support our students so they can become more successful in life.”

Forged Self Defense offers classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, and a wide variety of classes for kids. 

“All the instructors are amazing with the kids,” said Kristen M., parent. “They teach with the perfect balance of what kids need… Fun and discipline.”
