Chamber of Commerce: Rock & Roll Holiday Parade Winners Announced

Published on

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce has been organizing and presenting Rochester’s annual Holiday Parade since the mid-1980s.  The Rochester Holiday Parade is one of the largest Holiday Parades in the state. This year’s parade is underwritten by Service Credit Union.

The official theme of this year’s parade was “A Rock & Roll Christmas”. The parade began at the triangle by the Richard Creteau Technology Center, traveling south on Wakefield Street, turning onto Union Street, and then turning south on North Main Street and proceeding through South Main Street and disbanding around the Rochester Common.

Nearly 80 entries participated in the parade with 13 floats. Many entries featured rock and roll elements to go along with the theme.  Many decorated mobile units were featured. Here is the list of winners:

  • Best of Parade: Float 10 – Integrity Home Team @ Bean Group
  • Second Place: Float 1 – American Legion Post 7
  • Third Place: Float 2 – Douglas Robbins

Floats were judged on creativity, craftsmanship, theme, and overall appearance.
