Frisbie Memorial Hospital Advances $5 Million in Facility Improvement and Patient Care Projects

Published on

Additional investment brings a total of $20 million in capital improvements since Frisbie joined HCA Healthcare in March 2020

Frisbie Memorial Hospital, a part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services announced today plans to invest an additional $5 million to bring new technology and enhance patient care services. The hospital has secured a capital investment of over $20 million since being acquired by HCA Healthcare in March 2020, with over $10 million dedicated to facility infrastructure.  An additional $5.3 million will fund the addition of a new Breast Center, bringing high-quality breast imaging services to the greater Rochester community, including state-of-the-art 3D mammography and bone density screening. Frisbie also will be expanding its gastroenterology services by bringing technological enhancements to its Endoscopy department.

Frisbie Memorial Hospital has already committed $4.5 million for a new MRI, a pharmacy clean room, and a behavioral health pod in its emergency department. Projects are currently underway with the new MRI and pharmacy updates expected to be completed this spring, and the emergency department behavioral health pod expected to be finished in early 2022.

“When HCA Healthcare acquired Frisbie Memorial Hospital one year ago, we made a commitment to the community that we would invest in the facility and the future of healthcare in Rochester,” said Jeff Scionti, FMH chief executive officer. “These projects will modernize the hospital and greatly enhance the delivery of patient care services.”
