Meredith Village Savings Bank kicks off Annual Mitten Tree Drive, to benefit local schools and nonprofits

Published on

MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank) continues its more than four-decade tradition of collecting donations of new mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves for their annual Mitten Tree drive through New Year’s Eve.

All donated items will be distributed to local schools and nonprofits. MVSB will also match each item donation with $2 to local organizations addressing childhood food insufficiency.

New handmade or store-bought cold-weather accessories can be donated at any MVSB branch location. A complete list of offices and hours is available at mvsb.com/locations.

“The annual Mitten Tree drive is a simple yet impactful way community members can help give back to those in need throughout the winter season,” said Stacy Trites, Senior Vice President, Senior Retail Banking Officer. “We are truly grateful to everyone for stepping up each year to warm hands and hearts with their donations – and to the MVSB employees who ensure the items end up where they are needed most in their communities.”

The Bank’s matching donations will benefit the following organizations addressing food insufficiency issues for local children:

  • End 68 Hours of Hunger Alton
  • Got Lunch! Ashland & Holderness
  • Gilford Got Lunch
  • Got Lunch! Laconia
  • End 68 Hours of Hunger Wolfeboro Area
  • Got Lunch! Inter-Lakes
  • Lakes Region Food Pantry
  • Got Lunch! Plymouth
