Due to ongoing construction and renovation work at the Central Fire Station, the Rochester Fire Department will not offer station tours in October or November, including those typically scheduled for Fire Prevention Week and Fire Prevention Month.

Construction has temporarily limited safe public access and affected the areas normally used for tours. The suspension applies only to station tours; school fire prevention programs will continue throughout October.

The department’s fire prevention team is visiting local schools to share this year’s theme: “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.” The program focuses on safe charging practices and the proper use of rechargeable batteries and electronic devices.

The Rochester Fire Department appreciates the community’s understanding and continued interest in fire prevention. We look forward to welcoming residents back for station tours once construction conditions allow.
