Rochester Public Works Department to Conduct Sewer Flow Tests

The Rochester Public Works Department will conduct sewer flow tests on some City streets from Monday, May 8th through Friday, May 12th.

The testing will take place during the late evening and early morning hours and will involve a single vehicle and a small crew. The tests will be conducted in sewer manholes. Residents may hear manhole lids being lifted and placed back, as well as see some flashing yellow safety lights.

These flow tests are an important part of Rochester’s ongoing efforts to maintain its sewer system and ensure it functions properly. The data collected during the testing will be used to identify any potential issues and make necessary repairs.

The Rochester Public Works Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and understanding during this process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Public Works Department at (603) 332-4096.
